PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a hermetic seal component in which, when a hermetic sealing is carried out between a connection pin and a holding member by glass, a transfer of a burning jig to the glass is prevented so that the glass does not contact with the burning jig. SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing a hermetic seal component in which a holding member 1 made of a metallic material in which a penetrated hole 1d is formed is mounted on the burning jig 5 and held upright, and a connection pin 12 is inserted into the penetrated hole and an inner circumferential surface of the penetrated hole and the connection pin are sealed by glass 15, an intermediate assembly 16 formed by fixing the glass 15 on an outer circumferential surface of an intermediate portion of the connection pin 12 is inserted into the penetrated hole of the holding member, and moreover, is sealed with the inner circumferential surface of the penetrated hole by heating the holding member to soften the glass while a space S is provided between a surface on which the holding member of the burning jig is mounted and an end surface 15a facing the glass of the intermediate assembly.
