PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide images suitable for diagnosing function information of a heart or the like. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic volume data storage unit stores ultrasonic volume data including a heart left ventricle area. A specified part extraction unit 18 extracts the heart left ventricle area on the basis of at least one of a shade value, opacity and color information from the ultrasonic volume data. An abnormal part extraction unit 18 extracts an abnormal part area included in the left ventricle area on the basis of ultrasonic function information. A cross section calculation unit 26 calculates the position and direction of a diagnostic cross section crossing the abnormal part area. An image generation part 28 generates the data of a cross section image from the ultrasonic volume data on the basis of the position and direction of the diagnostic cross section and generates the data of an ultrasonic abnormal part image from the abnormal part area.
