The support has an adjustable self-gripping belt (2) surrounding a leg and maintaining a tibia in contact with a thin section piece e.g. spring plate (5), in form of a foam padded channel (1). The channel provides the support to be laterally rigid and flexible towards the front with a spring effect. The foam padded channel is fixed on the spring plate that is supported on top of a trail running shoe in which the support is provided.
