The present invention relates to compositions based on silicone resin, methods of obtaining same and applications thereof as a friction material, in particular uses thereof in friction rings for clutch friction discs or brake pads. It more particularly targets a composition comprising: - 3 to 30% by weight of silicone resin, - 5 to 50% by weight of NBR rubber and/or derivatives thereof.
