<p>Since a conventional self-light emission display has an insufficient reflection preventing function, a room should be made to be dark to appreciate video images with high definition. This video appreciation system uses a self light emission display capable of displaying high-definition video images without making the room dark. In this video image appreciation system (10), circular-polarized light emitted from a circular-polarized light source (12) is converted into a linear polarized light by a wavelength plate (13), and the linear-polarized light is absorbed by an absorption type linear polarizer (14) to prevent the circular-polarized light from reaching a self-light emission panel (15). Thus, the self light emission panel (15) is not irradiated with an external light even under a bright light, the contrast of the video image is not decreased.</p> |
