The light (1) has a central base (2) for fastening the light into ceiling or wall, and retaining mechanisms provided for an illuminant (3) e.g. reflector lamp, and guided at the base. The retaining mechanisms include arms (4) pivotable opposite to the base, where the illuminant is arranged at an end of the arms facing the base. Pivot axis of the arms runs perpendicularly to a ceiling and/or wall plane, where the arms are decentralized at the base. The arms include a telescopic shaft (4a) guided at the base, and a telescopic rod (4b) guided at the shaft.
