PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for driving a plasma display for improving the drive voltage margin, when the plasma display is driven. SOLUTION: In the method for driving a plasma display panel, an image of one frame comprises (n) subfields, and each subfield has a reset period for causing erase discharge, an address period and a sustain discharge period. First erase discharge made to change by narrow-width pulse of≤2μs in the pulse width and a second eraure discharge caused by an erase pulse which continuously changes the applied voltage value are included during the reset period.
