The method involves providing a running strip comprising an electrically conductive base and (4) an electrically non-conductive cap (5). The cap is wound to different parts and/or sections. An insert made of an electrically conductive rubber compound is applied in the strip, where the insert rotates in the peripheral direction. A gap is provided between the sections that are provided on a tire belt bundle of the strip, where the rubber compound is applied in the gap.
