PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly select a focus detection area without mistake. SOLUTION: This display device within a finder is provided with a display means superimposing and displaying the plural focus detection areas within a finder visual field and a switch means for starting the switching of the focus detection areas. Besides, it is provided with plural focus detection area selection modes enabling the focus detection area to be optionally selected and including the focus detection area manual selection mode. Moreover, it is provided with a display control means allowing the display means to superimpose and display all of the focus detection areas and making the display state of the focus detection area 76 selected at present and the focus detection area other than the area 76 different when the focus detection area manual selection mode is selected and the operation of the switch means is executed while the focus detection area is selected. |
