PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission endless belt having high durability while preventing the one-sided contact of a link plate with a short pin. SOLUTION: The link plates 1, 1' are endlessly connected to each other via split pins 2, 3 consisting of a long pin 2 and the short pin 3. A retainer 4 is positioned in the axial direction and mounted on the long pin 2, and an abutting portion 4a of the retainer is opposed to an end face 3a of the short pin 3 to restrict the axial movement of the short pin 3. The retainer 4 has a protruded portion 4b protruded toward the link plates 1, 1' for abutting on the outsidemost link plate 1. Thus, the movement range of the link plate relative to the short pin 3 is restricted and the short pin 3 and a pin hole 1b have whole contact with each other without the contact of a corner round portion R of the short pin 3 with the pin hole 1b.
