The method involves forming an executable authentication extension module previously authenticated by an authentication function of an authentication library and connected to several segments by a chaining relation. Each successive segment is authenticated in response to a request for authentication of segments. The module is executed, if the segment requires the module, to authenticate the segment subjected to the module. - The authentication library is stored in a ROM. - Independent claims are also included for the following: - (a) a device for authentication of digital data from multiple segments of digital data linked to each other according to a chosen chain relation; and - (b) stored software. |
