PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a circuit configuration and realize a stable voltage step-up operation in a power storage device to be inserted, in parallel with an inverter input stage of an electric rolling stock. SOLUTION: This storage device is provided with a first column of circuit, including a power storage element and a first switching circuit connected in series between a first terminal and a second terminal, wherein the first switching circuit includes a first transistor and a first diode connected in parallel; a second column of circuit including a second switch circuit connected between the first terminal and the second terminal, wherein the second switching circuit includes a second transistor and a second diode connected in parallel; and a third column of circuit, including a mechanical switch connected in between the first terminal and the second terminal.
