PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a sense of incongruity due to echo. SOLUTION: The echo canceler is provided with an echo removing section for receiving a first input signal and a second input signal including echo due to the first input signal and outputting a signal obtained by removing the echo included in the second signal on the basis of the first input signal; a noise removing section for outputting a signal obtained by removing or attenuating a noise included in the echo-removed signal to be output from the echo removing section; and an output control section for outputting the signal output from the echo removing section as an output signal if the signal level of the echo included in the signal output from the echo removing section is not less than a predetermined level, and outputting the signal output from the noise removing section as an output signal if the signal level is less than the predetermined level, on the basis of the signal level.
