PURPOSE: A device and a method for charging a power supply device is provided to charge the power supply device without the electric leakage using electricity generated by a plurality of thermoelectric generators. CONSTITUTION: A charging device includes a plurality of thermoelectric generators(110-130), a selecting unit(140), and a charging unit(150). The thermoelectric generator converts the heat from heat sources to the electricity. The selecting unit includes a plurality of charging units, comparing units, and switching units. The charging unit stores the electricity generated by thermoelectric generator. The comparing units determine the voltage level of the electricity stored in the charging units. The switching unit connects the electricity to the charging unit according to the determination result of the comparing units at different time. The charging unit charges the electricity generated by the thermoelectric generator in a power supply device(170) according to the connection of the selecting unit.
