PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a satisfactory deodorizing effect capable of saving an electric charge, and eliminating noise over a long period of time by setting a ventilation time to an optimum value. SOLUTION: This bathroom heating and drying device 1 is adapted to circulate hot air in a bathroom 2 and ventilate each room including the bathroom 2 and a toilet 3, and the device includes a ventilation chamber 14 having intake ducts 11, 12 extended from the rooms 2, 3 and an outdoor exhaust duct 13 communicating with the outdoor, a ventilation fan 15 provided in the ventilation chamber 14, an odor sensor 16, a toilet illuminating switch 31 of the toilet 3, and a device control part 10 for controlling the whole operation of the device 1. The device control part 10 is adapted to drive the ventilation fan 15, thereby performing ventilation when the toilet illuminating switch 31 is turned on, and stop the ventilation fan 15 to end ventilation when it is detected that a detection signal of the odor sensor 16 shows a predetermined value or smaller after the switch is changed from an on-state to an off-state.
