PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve having an integrated structure with a refrigerant flow divider reducing discontinuous refrigerant flow sound in the expansion valve and providing a favorable refrigerant flow dividing characteristics in either of a normal-directional refrigerant flow (a refrigerant flow from a part executing an expansion valve function to a part executing a refrigerant flow dividing function) or an inverse refrigerant flow inverse to the normal-directional flow and a refrigeration unit using the expansion valve. SOLUTION: This expansion valve having the integrated structure with the refrigerant flow divider is provided with a first throttle part 10 executing a throttling operation, an approximately cylindrical refrigerant flow dividing chamber 6 for dividing the refrigerant passing through the first throttle part 10 to a flow dividing pipe 12, and a plurality of flow dividing pipes 12 connected to the refrigerant flow dividing chamber 6. The plurality of flow dividing pipes 12 are connected to open in a substantially fixed tangential direction respectively to the side wall of the approximately cylindrical refrigerant flow dividing chamber 6.
