PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive that is easily removable and capable of bonding an optical film such as a polarizing plate to a liquid crystal cell with high durability, giving a liquid crystal display device having such characteristics of hardly causing leakage of light even in a high temperature and high humidity environment, and to provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive sheet using the pressure-sensitive adhesive, and an optical film with a pressure-sensitive adhesive using the above pressure-sensitive adhesive. SOLUTION: The pressure-sensitive adhesive is prepared by irradiating a pressure-sensitive material with actinic rays, the pressure-sensitive material comprising: (A) an acrylic copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of not less than 1,000,000, which is prepared by polymerizing a monomer composition containing hydroxyl group-containing monomers by 0.01 to 5 mass% in a monomer composition ratio and carboxyl group-containing monomers by 0.01 mass% to less than 2.0 mass% in a monomer composition ratio; (B) an acrylic copolymer having a weight average molecular weight of not less than 1,000,000, which is prepared by polymerizing a monomer composition containing hydroxyl group-containing monomers by less than 0.01 mass% in a monomer composition ratio and carboxyl group-containing monomers by 0.01 mass% to 15.0 mass% in a monomer composition ratio; and (C) an actinic ray-curable compound. The adhesive shows a mass ratio of components (A) to (B) ranging from 100:1 to 100:30, and a storage modulus (G') of not less than 0.3 MPa at 23°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
