The turbo-machine (1) has a guide vane section (2), particularly a guide vane row which consists of multiple guide vanes (3). Transverse sealings (14) are arranged within the area of a stagnation point compression wave (16) of the guide vanes or within the area of a backlash compression wave (18) of the guide vanes.
