Disclosed is a thermoplastic resin pellet comprising a thermoplastic resin (A) and an oxidation catalyst (B) which is not supported on any carrier. In the pellet, the area ratio Ic/Im on the surface of the pellet is larger than that in the inside of the pellet, wherein Ic represents an area of a peak which appears around 1715 cm-1 and Im represents an area of a peak which appears around 1470 cm-1 in the measurement of IR spectra of the pellet. The pellet has an excellent oxygen-absorbing ability, and therefore can be used as a pellet for producing an oxygen-absorbable resin article. |
