PURPOSE: A dish washer is provided to facilitate removing food waste adhering to dishes by washing the dishes using washing water and steam. CONSTITUTION: A dish washer comprises a tub(18), a steam generating device(100), and a controller(200). The tub accepts dishes. The steam generating device includes a plurality of heaters and generates the steam to be supplied to the tub. The controller selectively drives a plurality of heaters and controls the amount of the steam to be supplied to the tub.
