A monitoring method for a fresh air supplying apparatus is provided to detect the leakage of the fresh air supply pipe by determining whether signals about fuel status are converted from rich state to lean state or from lean state to rich state. A monitoring method for a fresh air supplying apparatus comprises: a step(S12) determining whether the jet of the fuel is stopped or not; a step(S14) determining whether the state in which fuel is sprayed to a vehicle is maintained for a certain time or not; a step(S16) determining whether the signal about the fuel status transmitted from an oxygen sensor is in a rich condition or not; a step(S18) operating an air pump, and directly supplying the fresh air of the intake pipe to the front end of the oxygen sensor; a step(S20) determining whether signals about fuel status are converted from rich state to lean state or from lean state to rich state; and step(S24) determining that fresh air supplying apparatus breaks down in case the signals about fuel status are not converted from rich state to lean state or from lean state to rich state. |
