<p>The device has a signal source (1) e.g. decoder or DVD player, for supplying signals (SL, SR) to produce sound impressions, respectively. A circuit arrangement i.e. phase shifting arrangement (2), modifies the signals for producing a third sound impression of a virtual source. Terminals are provided for outputting modified signals at a matrix or loudspeakers (L1, L2), and a phase shifting module (5) is arranged downstream to the arrangement. The circuit arrangement or the phase shifting module modifies the signals relative to each other with a phase shift of between 170 degrees to 190 degrees. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a surround sound.</p> |
