<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition for engine components, which is effective for preventing attachment and deposition of oil sludge caused by denaturation of engine oil, and an engine component such as an oil ring coated with the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The engine component is coated with the coating composition for engine components comprising an alkoxysilyl group, an organopolysiloxane group and a lipophilic group.
