PURPOSE: A belt for a continuously variable automatic transmission is provided to improve the frictional coefficient of a contact surface between a belt and a pulley by reducing the surface pressure, which is caused when expanding the contact surface, to secure a groove portion. CONSTITUTION: A belt for a continuously variable automatic transmission comprises a stack ring and an element(4). The stack ring is formed by stacking rings from the inner side to the outer side plural times. The element is formed by the stack ring and a board and has a frank side(4a) which contacts with a sieve face of a pulley. The element comes in contact with the frank side through the sieve face and oil film of pulley. The element is formed by alternatively arranging a contacted mountain portion(41) and a groove portion(42) which discharges the lubricating oil in the circumference direction of the pulley. |
