PURPOSE: A leakage current detection device of bus duct system and a detection method are provided to prevent the fire in advance by detecting the leakage current in real time. CONSTITUTION: The top duct(11) and the bottom duct(13) are arranged to produce the fixed space. The side duct(15) is perpendicularly installed between the bottom ducts and the top duct. The busbar is installed in the space produced by the top duct and the side duct. The connection unit(10a) is connected to the neighboring booth duct and is projected and extended with the both ends of a busbar. The leakage current detection unit(200) is installed in the busbar or the connection unit and detects the leakage current in real time.
