A WATERPROOF MAT AND METHOD OF FABRICATING THEREOF

PURPOSE: A waterproof mat and a method for fabricating the same are provided to improve self-repairing capability, which results from moisture stickiness of polyurethane and strong hydration characteristic of organic smectite against contaminated water and seawater. CONSTITUTION: A waterproof mat comprises as follows. A flexible sheet(110) is transformable by external force. A polyurethane layer(120,130) is made of paste where polyurethane and oil are mixed and heated, and coated on the both sides of the flexible sheet to constant thickness. An organic smectite layer(140) is coated on one side of the polyurethane layer. An adhesive layer(150) is coated on the other side of the polyurethane layer.
