The development of the sexed semen process by means of the sperm selection includes the selection of the chromosome (x) female or chromosome (y) male for defining the sex of the baby animal previous the conception, i.e. the sperm selection. The invention refers to a multiparameter cell analysis technique which principle is based on passing a suspension of particles (generally cells) aligned and one by one before a focalized laser beam. The impact of each cell with the light range produces signals corresponding to different parameters of cells, which are picked by different detectors. The detectors transform said signals into electric signals which are subsequently digitalized in order to enable various parameters to be simultaneously measured in a single cell. The aforementioned parameters are the following: 3) Parameters with intrinsic characteristics. 4) Parameters with antigenic characteristics. Consequently, the sperm selection allows a cell to be identified by the antigenic chara cteristics thereof and/or by the morphological characteristics of size and complexity thereof.
