The invention provides a collapsible water container, made of waterproof fabric which is typically used to collect rainwater from roof downspouts. The invention also can serve as a water collection/storage device for developing nations. The container i s fitted with an attached outlet, suitable for connecting to a garden -type hose and an overflow. The container is supported, via its attached top by several removable uprights mounted to a circular, or alternately, a square or rectangular, base ring and running through a mid-height support ring. The uprights consist of two or more connectable segments. The base and mid-height support are designed to support the uprights and allow t he container to pass through them and have its bottom rest on the ground. The container top has large openings to allow water to enter the container. These openings contain screen material to allow water to pass through but block insects and debris. When disassembled, the item can be easily collapsed and stored.
