The granulating head (1) of an extruder to granulate plastics, with a number of passage openings (4) for the molten plastics flow, has a perforated granulating plate (2) at the end side (1') with holes (3) through it. The holes open over a nozzle-shaped projection (6) from the end side of the head, leaving a free space (7) between it and the sides of the hole. An elastic O-ring seal (10) is between the leading end (8) of the projection and the perforated plate support flange (2'), with a lip (12) under it extending from the projection with a maximum thickness at the tip of 0.05-0.5 mm and preferably 0.1-0.15 mm. |
