PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus and an imaging method such that imaging of high resolution and imaging of good quality and low resolution can be both achieved and switched with simple and easy-to-adjust constitution.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus 1 comprises: a color separation prism 20 which separates an optical image of a subject into a blue image, a red image, and a green image; a translucent plate 30 which is provided on an optical path 101 of the color-separated green image to be displaced; imaging elements 41, 42, and 43 which convert the respective images into image signals; and an image processing circuit 50 which processes the image signals to obtain a video signal, the video signal of different resolution being obtained by displacing the translucent plate 30 in units of one frame and thus changing the optical path of the green image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
