NUCLEIC ACID-RESPONSIBLE GEL, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND UTILIZATION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a nucleic acid-responsible gel not only being swollen or shrunk in the presence of a target nucleic acid but also enabling the nucleic acid to be detected by a simple method.

SOLUTION: The nucleic acid-responsible gel is obtained by immobilizing a probe comprising hybridized two single-stranded nucleic acids in a network structure of a polymer gel. In the probe, the two single-stranded nucleic acids are reversibly bonded, and the two single-stranded nucleic acids comprise a single-stranded nucleic acid into which a fluorescent donor molecule is introduced, and a single-stranded nucleic acid into which an acceptor molecule causing fluorescent resonance energy transfer with the fluorescent donor molecule is introduced.
