<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the lid locking device of a card insertion port for preventing any foreign matter other than a card from entering from a card insertion port. <P>SOLUTION: The lid locking device is provided with: a lid 1 mounted on a card insertion port 4 so as to be freely opened/closed with a shaft 1a projecting from both side face upper ends as a center; a pair of right and left lock members 2 to be engaged with an engagement section 1c of the upper end of the lid for preventing the rotation of the lid 1 to an open direction; and a lock releasing member 3 arranged behind both side sections of the lid in such a state that projecting sections 3a are projecting from openings 1b at both side sections of the lid forward for releasing the lock of the lid 1 according as the engagement of the pair of right and left lock members 2 with the engagement section 1c of the lid upper end is released when the projecting parts 3a are simultaneously pushed in at the top end of the card. Any foreign matter other than a card makes it impossible to release the lock of the lid 1 by simultaneously pushing in the projecting parts 3a of the pair of right and left lock releasing members 3.
