<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card reader which is usable even in an application where recording positional accuracy of information to a card is required and which performs reproduction of information recorded on or in the card and recording of information on or in the card regardless of an inserted direction of the card. <P>SOLUTION: The card reader includes: a first card processing part 4 having a first magnetic head 10, a first feeding passage 15, and a first card pressing mechanism 17 structured to press the card 2 toward a first card feeding reference face 16; and a second card processing part 5 having a second magnetic head 30, a second feeding passage 35, and a second card pressing mechanism 37 structured to press the card 2 toward a second card feeding reference face 36. The first card processing part 4 and the second card processing part 5 are be adjacently disposed in an X direction, and the first magnetic head 10 and the second magnetic head 30 are be disposed in a substantially point-symmetrical manner with respect to a virtual reference point P on a virtual center line CL1 which passes a substantially center position between the first card feeding reference face 16 and the second card feeding reference face 36, when viewed from a Z direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
