<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge structure having long service life, and a portable electronic device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The portable electronic device includes a body, a lid body, and the hinge structure used in articulation of the body and the lid body. The hinge structure includes an active part, a driven part having a cam face fitting with the active part by elasticity, and an elastic part with one end abutting on the driven part to slide the cam face of the driven part on the active part and to provide elasticity relatively moving the active part to the driven part.
