PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 10 comprises a body 11 set on a floor surface 19; and an operation table 13 having an operation surface 13a on the upper surface, disposed to project outward from the side surface of the body 11. The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus 10 also has a lighting system 30 mounted on the lower surface 13b of the operation table 13 for illuminating the space on the floor surface 19 side from the lower surface 13b of the operation table 13.
