<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker unit for arranging an illumination functional component, which effectively makes a diaphragm emit light, inside the unit without increasing the scale of the whole shape. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A damper ring unit includes: a damper ring 20 having a ring shape base member 21 for supporting the outer peripheral edge of a ring-shaped damper 13, and a plurality of bridge pieces 25 projected toward the axial front part from the plurality of peripheral direction parts of the base member respectively; at least one LED board 35 arranged on the inner side of at least one bridge piece and mounted with LEDs; a center board 40 for outputting a control signal for the LED to the LED board; and a ring shape light guide member 45 fixed to a position which is the inner peripheral surface of each bridge piece and is the axially front part of a damper base.
