<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosetting silicone composition using an iron complex as a curing catalyst. Ž<P>SOLUTION: By adding a certain kind of iron complex to a silicone composition principally consisting of an organopolysiloxane containing an alkenyl group and an organopolysiloxane containing an SiH group and heating the composition, a silicone cured product can be formed. When further adding a platinum group metal compound and a phenol derivative to this composition, its reaction is accelerated. That is, the silicone cured product can be obtained by adding iron (III) acetylacetonate to the silicone composition and heating the composition. When using the platinum group metal compound and the phenol derivative such as 3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy toluene (BHT) as additives, the iron (III) acetylacetonate is activated, and its reaction is accelerated.
