<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch capable of preventing its displacement and reduction in workability when the switch is mounted on a vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The switch 1 includes casings 4-6, a sliding body 7 slidably supported by casings 4-6, an energizing means 8 for energizing the sliding body 4 so that one end of the sliding body 7 is accommodated in the casing 4, and engaging means 7d and 4d for engaging the sliding body 7 with the casings 4-6 at a position where one end of the sliding body 7 projects by a prescribed slide distance D1 away from the casings 4-6.
