<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide broadcast system for a passenger conveyor capable of providing information required by a passenger being about to get on the passenger conveyor while fitting to the passenger individual. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A camera 5 and a speaker 4 are installed so as to be directed to an entrance of the escalator. Further, on a control device 6 of the passenger conveyor, a passenger existence determination means 12 for determining existence of the passenger at the entrance from image data photographed by the camera 5; and a passenger information specifying means 13 for specifying the information regarding the passenger individual present at the entrance from the image data photographed by the camera 5 when existence of the passenger is determined by the passenger existence determination means 12 are provided. Further, the content of the sound/voice guide transmitted from the speaker 4 is determined based on the information specified by the passenger information specifying means 13.
