<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an automatic feeder capable of preventing camber of a material to be recorded placed on a placement surface. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A left edge guide holder 72 is supported on hopper 71 displaceably in a width direction X, and has a placement part 721 constituting the placement surface S of the recording paper P. Similarly, a right edge guide holder 73 is supported on the hopper 71 displaceably in the width direction X, and has a placement part 731 constituting the placement surface S of the recording paper P. The recording paper P placed on the placement surface S is clamped by the placement surface S and a pressing plate 83 by spring force of a twisted coil spring 85. A right edge guide 82 is supported on the right edge guide holder 73 advanceably/retreatably in a direction crossing to the placement surface S.
