<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle device enabling a front seat occupant to comfortably and safely perform selecting operation of information reproduced on a rear seat monitor through a front seat monitor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The on-vehicle device having the front seat monitor and the rear seat monitor includes a source switching means capable of assigning different reproduction sources to the front seat monitor and the rear seat monitor; an operation screen providing means for displaying an operation screen corresponding to the contents of the reproduction source under reproduction on the rear seat monitor, on the front seat monitor in response to predetermined operation to the front seat monitor; and a reproduction control means for performing reproduction control according to the operation contents carried out through the operation screen. The operation screen includes menu items in which files of the reproduction source under reproduction on the rear seat monitor are classified in categories, and a function of starting reproduction of the file of the category corresponding to each menu item is assigned to each menu item.
