<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat supporting structure less susceptible to falling than heretofore. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The seat supporting structure 1 includes a pair of seat supporting bodies 2 extending in the front-rear direction of a vehicle and being spaced apart from each other in a body widthwise direction; and a cross member 3 extending in the body widthwise direction of the vehicle and connecting the pair of seat supporting bodies 2 to each other. Each of the seat supporting bodies 2 is provided with an inner wall 22a; an outer wall 22b disposed outside in the body widthwise direction of the inner wall 22a; and an upper wall 22c disposed between the inner wall 22a and the outer wall 22b. The end parts of the cross member 3 pass through the inner wall 22a to the outer wall 22b, and are fixed to the inner wall 22a and the outer wall 22b.
