<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image transmission apparatus capable of surely confirming a plurality of image data to be transmitted in a short time before transmission even, for example, in transmitting the plurality of image data after coupling by facsimile. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The facsimile composite machine 1(image transmission apparatus) includes a transmission data generating means 12 and an outside transmission means (facsimile transmission section 18). The facsimile composite machine 1 generates transmission data 32 based on an instruction from a connected user terminal device 80 from one or more image data 31 and transmits the transmission data 32 to a transmission destination designated from the user terminal device 80. Further, the facsimile composite machine 1 includes preview image generating section 14 for extracting at least some pages from the transmission data 32 and generates a preview image 33. When two or more image data 31 are included in the transmission data 32, the facsimile composite machine 1 extracts some pages of each of the transmission data 31 and generates the preview image 33.
