<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven compressor capable of increasing the insulating resistance between a wiring connection part and a housing when a liquid refrigerant stagnates in the housing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An electric motor is furnished with a bundling part 35 at the forefront of a bundling drawout part 32 where the electric conductive windings 30U, 30V, and 30W of U-phase, V-phase, and W-phase are drawn out of a coil, and also furnished at the forefront of the bundling part 35 with the wiring connection part 36 where the core wires 30a of the windings 30U, 30V, and 30W of different phases are connected with one another, so as to form a neutral point. The bundling part 35 is covered with an insulating tube 38 of sack shape so that a neutral point insulation part 39 is established. Between the wiring connection part 36 and the bundling drawout part 32, an extra length part 37 is secured for obtaining the insulating resistance by elongating the shortest insulation distance between the wiring connection part 36 and the housing, and the extra length part 37 and the wiring connection part 36 are covered with the insulating tube 38.
