PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a light-emitting diode to emit light with a higher gradation resolution, and reduce burden on processing by a high rank control device necessary for its operation. SOLUTION: A receiving part 21 receives command data from a CPU 11. An operation situation designation part 32 recognizes the command data and designates the operation situation. A low frequency up/down counter 53 counts up or counts down a first counter at a first speed based on the designated operation situation. A high-frequency up/down counter 23 counts up or counts down a second counter at a second speed higher than the first speed. A comparison part 54 compares the first counter value with the second counter value. An output part 55 drives the light-emitting diode based on the comparison result of the comparison part 54.
