<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgical operating apparatus capable of preventing varied operation force of a movable handle according to users, capable of preventing varied capability of performing the treatment such as incision, resection, or coagulation of the living tissue by utilizing ultrasonic vibration, and performing a stable operation. <P>SOLUTION: The surgical operating apparatus includes notification mechanisms 801 and 811 for notifying of a state where a slider section 65 has moved by an amount equal to or larger than a predetermined amount on the way of movement of the slider section 65 advanced/retreated to be moved in a central axis direction of the probe 11 in accordance with the operation of a handle 49.
