<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a performance measuring apparatus which measures performance of network equipment in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: The performance measuring apparatus includes: a control section 15 for determining the upper and lower limit values of performance measurements and estimating the performance based on the upper and lower limit values thus determined; a traffic generation transmission means (a traffic generation section 13, a transmission section 11) which generates traffic for performance measurement and transmitting the traffic to network equipment; and a comparison means (a receiving section 12, a comparing/determining section 14) which receives the traffic for performance measurement transferred from the network equipment and compares it with the traffic for performance measurement generated by the traffic generation transmission means. The control section 15 updates the upper or lower limit value according to the comparison results, determines whether the estimation results can be adopted as the performance measurement or not based on the upper and lower limit values, and adopts the estimation results as the performance measurement if the estimation results can be adopted as the performance measurement, however if not, estimates the performance of the network equipment again. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
