<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a camera module including a two-dimensional area sensor to acquire a two-dimensional image of a relatively wide range similar to an image obtained by using a wide-angle lens, without using a wide-angle lens, and to make equipment constituted using the camera module thin. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The camera module B1 includes a camera unit C1 having the two-dimensional area sensor 2 having a photodetection surface 21 where a plurality of photodetection areas are formed in a matrix form at a predetermined array pitch along a first direction x and a second direction which are orthogonal to each other and a lens 3 for imaging light traveling from the side of a document Dc on the photodetection surface 21, and a reflecting member 5 having a reflecting surface 51 such that the distance to the camera unit C1 in a third direction z perpendicular to both the first direction x and second direction is larger toward the side of the document Dc in the first direction x, and constant in the second direction.
