<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rain chain equipped with a new "presentation function" not available in a conventional rain chain by providing a function of rotating a rain chain element by flowing water force of rainwater or wind force, which can rotate the rain chain element by the flowing water force of the rainwater, and which can smoothly discharge foreign matter such as rubbish, dust and sand even if the foreign matter enters a pivoted portion for pivotally attaching the rain chain element to a shaft body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this rain chain 2, the plurality of rain chain elements 1 are vertically arranged. The rain chain elements 1 are rotatably attached to the shaft body 3, and a rotor blade portion 5 for rotating the rain chain element 1 by receiving the flowing water force of rainwater or the wind force is provided in the rain chain element 1. In a journaled portion in which the rain chain element 1 is rotatably attached to the shaft body 3, a groove 7, which ranges in the vertical direction of the journaled portion, is provided on at least either an inner surface of a hole 18 for loosely inserting the shaft body 3, provided in the rain chain element 1, or an outer surface of the shaft body 3.
