PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed display method allowing intuitive recognition of a speed difference between one's own vehicle speed and recommended speed, when the speed difference is generated. SOLUTION: One's own vehicle speed is displayed by one's own vehicle speed scroll image 2 moving at first scroll speed according to one's own vehicle speed. The recommended speed is displayed by recommended speed scroll images 1a and 1b moving by second scroll speed according to the recommended speed. The difference between the one's own vehicle speed and the recommended speed is displayed by a difference between the first scroll speed and the second scroll speed. The first scroll speed of the one's own vehicle speed scroll image 2 is equivalent to speed that a scene in front of the vehicle approaches when the vehicle travels at one's own vehicle speed. The second scroll speed of the recommended speed scroll images 1a and 1b is equivalent to speed that a scene in front of the vehicle approaches when the vehicle travels at the recommended speed.
